Secret Hints of Charming Wine
Discovering Private Wineries in Monasteries, Castles, and Estates
Behind the members of the association “Alto Adige Estate Wineries” are for the most part family-run operations and determined, and in fact even sophisticated, people with a great passion for the product of Alto Adige wine. Every estate winery follows its own path. While proudly maintaining the family traditions, ambitious ideas for the future are pushed forward. Substantial impetus for Alto Adige’s winegrowing has originated with and continues to come from the estate wineries of the province, such as some of the biodynamic and organic approaches. The individual estate wineries are structural gems in the midst of extensive vineyards which, whether monastery wineries, estates, castles, or manors, make their invitation to authentic wine experiences with tastings and tours. This is the place where the full variety of Alto Adige comes alive once again.
